Yarn of the Month for October

30 September 2009
The Yarn of the Month for October is Rowan Kidsilk Haze.  If ever a yarn existed to wax poetic over, Kidsilk Haze is it!  Smooth and silky, it practically knits itself off your needles into magical, airy, gossamer objects that will make you smile!  Kidsilk Haze is a yummy blend of 70% Super Kid Mohair and 30% Silk that knits from 4.5-6.5 sts/inch on a size US 3-8 needle, depending on whether you knit it single-strand or doubled.  Each 25 gr. ball contains 229 yards of lustrous wonder.  Kidsilk haze comes in 38 intoxicating colors; the only problem you’ll have is deciding which to knit with!  We have several beautiful shop samples knit in Kidsilk Haze for your viewing pleasure, including a simple one-skein scarf.  Enjoy Kidsilk Haze during the month of October for 10% off.

Now, I need a little fanfare here.  The October Kit of the Month is … well … unbelieveable.  When Kat and I saw the Rowan sample at our trade show in June, we swooned a little.  The Wentworth Cardigan is a Kidsilk Haze Lover’s Dream project.  Designed by Kaffe Fassett, using 16 different colors of Kidsilk Haze, Wentworth is a stunning striped cardigan.  Our shop sample was beautifully knit by Meg.  Kat has been working like a yarn-crazed maniac to divide skeins of the Kidsilk Haze that is needed in small amounts to bring the price point down to a comfortable level for you.  Wentworth is the Kit of the Month and can be enjoyed for 15% off! A wonderful, beautiful project.
